When you want to ask for the name of certain items in Japanese, try to use the following pattern.

How do you say "Manaita" in English?
Ramly Sumimasen, " roll of gauze" arimasuka.
Excuse me, do you have a roll of gauze?
Ramly Manaita? Nan desuka, sore? Shopkeeper Nan desuka, sore?

Loanwords are foreign words adopted into the Japanese language.
